Rick Remender Talks about his Upcoming Secret Avengers Run
Not too long ago Marvel announced that Rick Remender (Venom, Uncanny X-Force) would be taking over the Secret Avengers series, starting with issue #22 (with a lead in from #21.1) with artist Gabriel Hardman (Hulk).
Remender has a lot up his sleeves, and one of the first big changes is that he’s removing Steve Rogers as the leader of the new series and replacing him with Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye.
The team will also consist of returning characters Beast, Valkyrie, Black Widow, and Ant-Man, as well as adding to the mix Venom, Giant Man, Captain Britain, and a Human Torch (it could be one of the three, but we don’t know yet).
Remender says that the opening arc will have “a big secret war, a big secret new world, a big secret new race, a big team death, a big secret team betrayal, and begin a secret affair.” There looks to be a lot to get excited about when Remender takes over Secret Avengers.
